Armenia’s Air defence Systems are
Being Shipped to IRAN
There is an intense shipment en route to
Iran through Armenia from Azerbaijan’s territory under
Armenian occupation. The process has accelerated to such an
extent that even states that monitor the region (through
satellite or spies) by various means are able to detect this
shipment.
This information was leaked from a
mission of one of these states in Baku. Recently, heavy
vehicle convoys are setting off to Iran from the occupied
territory of the neighbor country Azerbaijan, according to
reports based on confirmed information. The same process is
observed more intensely in the Armenian-Iranian border. An
unanimous foreign official told “New Musawat” reporter that
the equipment involved air defense systems in Armenia. With
this shipment, Iran is stepping up its preparations against
a possible air raid. World powers, primarily the US made a
secret deal with Russia according to which the Russians will
not sell air defense systems and other weapons to Iran. This
is why they have resorted to this alternative. Iran procured
many air defense systems in Armenia and is having them
delivered now. The interesting part is that this shipment is
being transferred from Azerbaijan’s occupied territory with
the involvement of Iranian and Armenian officials.
Iran’s president Ahmedinejad’s visit on
23 December 2011 to Yerevan was for this purpose. Armenia
decided to support Iran which is about to acquire nuclear
weapon capability, hence isolated by world powers and
receiving serious attack threats. And now, the whole world
has witnessed the Iranian-Armenian cooperation (New Musawat-
23/12/2011).
