HERO OF HOMELAND AZERBAIJAN:
BABEK KHORRAMDIN
Babek
Khorramdin… The great hero of homeland Azerbaijan has carved
his name in our history with his never exhausting and ending
struggle and protected our national identity from religious
and racial experts… Those who made invasions in our homeland
-where nature, culture, life and joy speak- in the name of
religion and made swords speak were shut up by Babek… Babek
rebelled in order to save our culture and identity that were
on the brink of extinction. They caught and brutally killed
Babek as a result of the betrayal of a Persian aristocrat
called Afhsin and the trap laid by the dirty governor of
Armenia called Sahl Ibn Sanbat. However, Babek died for his
country in place of us and his blood painted the Azerbaijani
territories with the honorable color of red forever…
Yes… Babek,
the heroic son of Azerbaijan is dead. But his death became
the resurrection of homeland Azerbaijan. Because one Babek
died but thousands of Babeks were born and they wiped the
enemy from our territories…
Babek is
the cry of the oppressed…
Babek is
the enemy of those who love money, of those who are never
satisfied and of cunning foxes…
Babek is a
hero who revolted from among the oppressed people and made
his nation gain independence and honor…
Babek means
preferring independence, laughing, fun and the color red…
instead of lamenting, beating ourselves, cutting heads,
crying and the color black…
Babek is
our hero who rose against those who exploited people by
using religion as a political ideology against the
traditions seen in Iran throughout the history…
Now after
centuries, thanks to Babek, our people go to the foot of
mountains instead of convents, Hoseyniyyes, pulpits, shrines
and even mosques and cry out just like hero Babek did,
without waiting for any rescuer to come and not even needing
such a rescuer… They wish this chain of superstitions to be
broken and today’s Babeks not to become victims of traitors
like Afshin and Sanbat…
Babek is my blood… Babek is my
Azerbaijan…
