April 26. In the press conference that was held at the end
of the two-day meeting in the Turkish capital Ankara,
Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali
Larijani stated that “There are some new proposals for the
solution of this issue and that they are close to a solution
that may satisfy both sides”.

EU High
Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy
Javier Solana who represented the EU expressed that he was
pleased to be able to come together and underlined the
fact that “Since the UNSC resolutions taken in March on the
measures to be taken with respect to Iran’s nuclear program,
this has been the first positive meeting”.
While both
sides refrained from going into details in their statements,

conference held with the EU on April 25, stated that he
would like to remind once again that Iran’s nuclear program
