AHMADINEJAD IS RESHUFFLING THE STATE CADRES
Iran’s
President Ahmadinejad is reported to be reshuffling the
board of ministers and he will dismiss the Interior Minister
Mostapha Pour Mohammadi and the Economy Minister Davoud
Danesh Jaferi from office. However, it is noteworthy that
the President has not made any official statement to the
public as to why he dismissed the ministers. It is stressed
that the Speaker of the Government Gholam Hosein Alham
responding to the questions made a statement that “Jafari
and Pour Mohammadi will be appointed to other positions in
the state, the President has the discretionary power to
nominate names to replace the mentioned individuals” which
is not satisfying. Meanwhile, the leaking of the plans on
the cabinet reshuffle to the non-government elements has
brought about great discussions among the government
members.
It is
claimed among the Iranian political circles that
“Ahmadinejad who has been forced into a corner due to the
economic and political difficulties in the country is
seeking to lay the blame on Jafari and Pour Mohammadi and
that is why, they have been dismissed from office.” Upon the
completion of the process on the 8th parliamentary
elections, other cabinet ministers are also expected to be
replaced. Within this framework, it is claimed that
Ahmadi-Nejad will force the Minister of Transportation
Mohammad Rahmati and the Foreign Minister Manoucher Mottaqi
to submit their resignations at intervals. It is criticized
severely by the public that Ahmadinejad has reshuffled the
cabinet for the ninth times since he came to power in 2005.
On the
other hand, it is stated that the cadres of the general
governor/governor are planned to be replaced, some senior
officials in the key positions are forced to resign and they
are replaced with names close to Ahmadinejad. In order to
enable the proponents of Ahmadinejad to have cadres in the
state positions easily, Mullah Ali Samari has been appointed
as the head of the “Gozinash Organization”. Gozinash
Organization is a strategic organization providing its
opinion as to whether those who wish to be hired in the
Iranian public organizations and institutions should be
employed or not after vetting.
