HEMBESTEGI: “THE
RESOLUTION WAY OF THE MIDDLE EAST CRISIS”
It should
be said far from any praises and compliments that if the USA
wants to resolve the crisis in the regional and Islamic
countries, it should give up following Israel first of all,
leave aside futile promises and it should not present
momentary ways of resolution in order to save the situation.
El Riyad
Newspaper published in Saudi Arabia includes the following
in the commentary entitled “Palestine is the resolution way
of the crisis in the region”:
“The
emergence of all the wars, conflicts and the radical groups
and the increase in the terrorist activities in the region
are related with the Palestinian event and no country in the
world can deny this fact. Unfortunately, the Western world,
particularly the USA starts from the wrong point in order to
resolve the problems in the region and not all of the ways
and the methods which they present position the Palestinian
issue into the focus of the regional problems. For years the
peace spell in the region has not been broken and the
world’s whole efforts to break this spell have not been
successful up to now. The USA that is always in the center
of the international resolutions has deemed the resolution
of this crisis in other words Palestinian issue as its own
field of expertise and presented resolution ways and methods.
It should be said that all these resolution ways and methods
are far from the reality and futile. And up to now none of
the promises presented for the resolution of the Palestinian
problem has realized. The USA policy on Palestine has not
made any considerable progress and focused on futile
promises. The USA has presented many theatres and scenarios
over the resolution of the Palestine crisis. However, from
now on such theatres and scenarios would not work in the
region. For, none of the nations and states in the region
has the belief that the USA is impartial over the
Palestinian issue. It is an undeniable fact that all of the
regional crises – Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan and all the
complicated crises in the region – are connected with the
resolution of the Palestinian crisis and we need to confess
that if the USA persists in its policy, the fair resolution
of the Palestinian crisis can not be expected. As long as
the USA uses its right of veto to protect Israel and not to
denounce the murders of this state and as long as Tel Aviv
possesses the advanced technological arms which even its
European allies do not possess, we can not talk about the
resolution of the Palestinian crisis and creation of peace.
The USA has the intention of sending Rice to the region and
being present in the international platform as the real
mediator of the Palestinian crisis. Is it possible for this
country to present more serious ways of resolution compared
to the past in the Palestinian crisis? If the USA continues
to be late in presenting fair resolution ways in the
Palestinian crisis, all of its trumps in the region will
disappear and it will not have the required credibility for
mediation for the other crises in the eyes of other
countries. The USA has been in pursuit of bilateral policies
in the face of regional countries and Israel. However, from
now on the circumstances have changed. The USA needs the
guarantee and political and economic cooperation of the
regional countries. For, the state of its troops in Iraq and
Afghanistan indicates that: Only the mediation of the
regional countries can take this country out of the bog of
