THE LIE
ON APRIL 24
Since the
1970s, both the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian
Diaspora living in various countries around the world have
been conducting activities against Turkey and the Turkish
people on every 24th of April. Altering the events
experienced in 1915 to their own interests, they try to
mislead the world with deceitful propagandas. As “Our South
Azerbaijan” staff, here in this article, we shall now shed
light on this international “big lie” reiterated by the
Armenians on every 24th of April.
The
Armenians have always held claims that the Ottoman
leadership exercised “genocide” to citizens of Armenian
descent on April 24, 1915. With these canard claims, they
give offensive statements and publish various text and
writings. They carry out demonstrations and protests in many
countries which also cause social unrest in these countries.
Those who support Armenians in their offensive behavior are
generally the representatives of important European
countries and these representatives join in these Armenian
lies every time.
The extent
to which these unpleasant lies reflect the truth is a whole
problem itself because there is no evidence to these
“genocide” claims which are totally based on groundless
lies. From the 1920s until our era, the 21st Century, no
reliable document or legal evidence has been produced in the
archives of any country in the world on the Armenian claims.
What is more is that the official researches conducted by
various western countries to find out if these claims are
true and reflect the realities bore no outcome. Actually,
anticipating an outcome would be an unrealistic expectation
because the 1915 incidents are not “genocide” and on the
contrary, the period does not go beyond being a time when
defensive measures were taken by Ottoman Empire and
Anatolian Turks against bloody Armenian attacks.
These
reasonable defense measures emerged during the first years
of World War I. Some armed Armenian groups in Anatolia began
to organize bloody raids against the government, the troops
fighting at the fronts as well as the innocent civilians in
Turkish towns and villages behind the fronts. As a result,
these measures became inevitable. Neither in world history
nor today is there an example of a state which did not or
would not take the necessary measures and quell terrorist
organizations attempting armed insurgencies and conducting
mass massacres. This is essentially and briefly what the
1915 incidents is about and nothing more.
So the truths behind the “big global lie” lying beneath the
persistent “genocide” claims of Armenian organizations and
terrorist focuses, which create chaos in various countries
on the 24th April of each year, are nothing more than the
realities briefly mentioned above. With such undertakings,
extreme Armenian groups also attempt to cover up Armenian
forces’ acts of seizure, ethnic cleansing and genocide from
the early 1980s to the late 1990s towards the Azerbaijani
Turks in Nagorno-Qarabakh and its surrounding and to mislead
the world public. These groups also receive the support of
separatist-subversive terrorist organizations in this
effort. It is also known that today, the peace adversary
plans of “Great Armenia From Sea to Sea” envisaged between
1918-20 and schemed by the then imperialist states are
aspired to be realized by use of other puppets. One needs to
remember one reality that the elements who became Turkish
nations’ adversaries by taking the word of so-called “great”
nations have all been disillusioned.
