The Tactics of
the Babek Castle Ceremonies to be Held on the 9th and 10th
Day (June 29-30, 2006) of the 1395th Ili Tir
Month

It is illegal for the intelligence
forces to capture prominent figures of Southern
Azerbaijan through telephone calls just on the eve of
the Babek castle celebrations. We should react to this
illegitimacy.

The security forces are thinking of
besieging the castle with all their might and to prevent
the ceremony from taking place. This puts forth the
importance of the ceremony. It is up to us “to endure
and to resist”.

We are going to flow out from all the
cities of Azerbaijan. When they block our way we are
going to stop and get out of our cars. There is no such
thing as going back.

The tactic of the chauvinists today
is to “threaten and to insult”. This policy and strategy
will reach its peak on the eve of the castle
celebrations. We should cope with this strategy as the
active individuals of the Azerbaijani national movement.

The Basij forces are our brothers. We
do not want to stand and resist against them. We do not
take notice of their prevention of the castle
ceremonies.

We will show how much we love
Azerbaijan and how self-sacrificing we are on the way to
this cause, with the courage and wise behaviors we put
forth on the day of the castle celebrations.

As the castle ceremony is a national
one, we will not resort to any kind of propaganda
activities.

Our celebrations will start on Friday
morning. We will not attend any political or protest
activities Thursday night.

We will protect the natural
environment around the castle and will not litter.

MEANING OF THE BABEK CASTLE?
The Babek
Castle celebrations are a political movement and an
initiative reflecting the national desires of the
Azerbaijanis on global platforms. It is a great national
cruelty to stay indifferent to this ceremony.
The Babek
Castle is the safe haven of those struggling for the
national freedom and independency of Azerbaijan. This
ceremony does not reflect the “Islam- Zoroaster” or
“Turkish- Arabic” encounters in history.
The Babek
Castle is the place where the principles of “resistance and
endurance” are tested.
The Babek
Castle is the symbol for the groups and wings striving in
the name of the Azerbaijani National Movement.
