IRANIAN
ADMINISTRATION IS TO BENEFIT FROM THE IRANIANS LIVING ABROAD
Ali Akbar Salehi, Iranian Minister of
Foreign Affairs, stated the following in a conference held
at the Martyr Behashti University in Tehran in December
2010: “In an era in which communication is prevalent, one
should benefit from the means of the Iranian academicians,
artists and businessmen living abroad”. He also asked for a
planning to be made by the government within this respect.
Haydar Moslahi, Minister of
Intelligence, who also made a speech in the meeting, to
which the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry
of Intelligence contributed, emphasized the importance of
establishing relations with the Iranians living abroad in
the field of security in order to “prevent the activities of
foreign intelligence services”.
As it is already known, the second
annual meeting of the Iranians Living Abroad was held last
year in August in Tehran. Above 1200 participants attended
the meeting from countries such as the US, England, Germany,
Canada and France. It is mainly traders, doctors and
academicians who attend the meetings of this kind.
The fact that Iranian officials
frequently draw attention to the issue of “taking measures
against the propaganda of the enemies” does not go unnoticed.
Within this framework the experts state that units such as
“Gapheyeh Gang Narm (Soft War Front)” and “Satad Bazresiy
Abadi Gang Narm (Center for Soft War Research and
Development)”, which were established in the previous months,
serve the same purpose.
