HEARD FROM “16 AZER LOSSES”!
No news can
be heard from the student named Ruzbeh Safshekan who was
arrested in the demonstrations in Shiraz on the occasion of
“16 Azer Students Day” which is celebrated throughout the
country on December 9.
The parents
of the student could not receive any information regarding
Ruzbeh Safshekan despite their efforts. The family who is
uninformed about the outcome of their child hangs the
pictures of their child and other children who were arrested
on the pharmacy they own.Iranian security forces collected
the pictures from the pharmacy and destructed it. Meanwhile
father Iraj Safshekan was called from the center of
intelligence for interrogation.
The father
Dr. Iraj Sahshekan who made a statement on a French radio
regarding this issue said that “He will not go to the
Ministry of Intelligence to testify or to be interrogated,
the officials from the Ministry can come and take him and
they are concerned because of not hearing about their son.”
As it is
known, on the occasion of the student’s week, which is
celebrated each year in Iran, a protest has taken place
against the government with the participation of three
thousand students on December 9, 2007 to stop the pressure
against students in the universities. During the
demonstrations many students were injured and 15 students
were arrested by the security forces in the clash between
security forces and students.
