THE
FAILURE OF AHMADINAJAD RULE HAS ALSO REPERCUSSIONS ON SPORTS
Recently
the scores of the Iranian sport team in the Olympics in
China have caused a deep sorrow in the Iranian people.
Nobody wants to watch these contests. Till now, the Iranian
sportsmen could only get one bronze medal and they are
ranked after Afghanistan. Unfortunately, we should state
that there is nothing to honor the Iranian people apart from
some memories.
The
successes of the Iranian sports teams before the revolution
and during the rules of Rafsanjani and Khatemi have remained
in the past. Wresting and weightlifting are the sports in
which the country is the most successful. The Iranian team
could not even get good results in these sports. This
situation stems from the incapability and insufficiency of
the AhmadiNajad administration and its negligence towards
the sports. Thus, the unfortunate Iranian people even lost
the chance to get pleased by the good scores in a sportive
contest.
Our
country, which possesses the forth biggest gas and oil
reserves in the world, remained without gas and oil during
the coldest winter of the last 40 years. In this hot summer
period, the people have suffered a lot due to the
long-lasting power cuts. In Teheran, a metropolis known by
the pollution and overpopulation, the power cuts lasting for
hours annoy the people very much. All these facts show that
the AhmadiNajad administration has broken an important
record not in the sports but in the economy. The inflation
reached an unbelievable level such as 25%. Another important
record of this administration is the isolation and
loneliness of Iran in the world. In this period, the
international credit of Iran decreased sharply and the UN
embargoes spread over the country.
And what
has the AhmadiNajad administration made till now?
This
administration which owes its existence to special religious
circles and the forces of Basij and IRGC makes efforts only
to improve the social and political positions of these two
classes. Our president tried to spread the superstitions by
assigning people from the Basij and IRGC to the high
positions of the state. The sportive activities had their
share of the cake and they are directed to serve to the
political aims.
AhmadiNajad, who started to work with the slogans of some
religious circles saying that Imam Zaman will appear in two
years and he will start to direct the Doomsday, realized
after a while that he was cheated by the “melancholic
mullahs”. But it was too late and AhmadiNajad continued this
game knowing that he cannot gain anything.
There is no
doubt that during the term of office of the 9th president,
Iran has become a weak and sensational state which is
deprived of competency and telling lies. This situation only
offered a shame to the Iranian people in the international
platform. In fact, it was obvious from the very beginning
that the scores in the Olympics would be bad, since the
state has had neither a program nor investments in the field
of sports. AhmadiNajad dismissed the experts and assigned
those who have no interests in the field of sports as he did
in other fields. So, those who are defeated in the Olympic
contests are not our sportsmen, but AhmadiNajad and his
administration system.
